Our tutors

Taught by people who just did this themselves

Our tutors are recent graduates and current undergraduates, not yet qualified teachers. That's deliberate. It's what keeps our rates low, and it means every tutor remembers exactly what GCSE exams feel like, because they sat them recently.

Every tutor is interviewed, DBS-checked, and given written feedback to share with parents after every session.

  • Recent first-hand GCSE exam experience, not theory from a textbook
  • Closer in age to your child, often easier to open up to than a teacher
  • Vetted and DBS-checked, with written feedback after every lesson

Parents say

What families notice first

"Our tutor finished her degree last year and still remembered exactly which bits of the Maths paper trip people up. My son actually listens to her."

RP
Rachel P.
Parent, Year 11 student

"Half the price of the tutoring company we used before, and honestly just as good for GCSE level. The feedback after every lesson is genuinely useful."

DK
David K.

"My daughter went from a 4 to a 6 in Science over one term. Her tutor explained required practicals in a way her school teacher never had time for."

FAQ

Good to know before you book

No, our tutors are recent graduates and current undergraduates, not qualified teachers. That's a deliberate choice: it's what allows us to charge significantly less than agencies using only qualified staff, while still offering tutors with strong subject knowledge and very recent exam experience. Every tutor is interviewed and DBS-checked before their first lesson.

Tell us the subject, year group, and exam board if known. We match based on subject strength and availability, and your first lesson is just £10 so you can try before committing to anything further.

Small group lessons have up to 4 students at a similar level and cost less per student. One-to-one means the tutor's full attention is on your child for the whole session. Many families start with group lessons and move to one-to-one closer to exams.

Yes. There's no long-term contract. You can pause or cancel sessions at any time with reasonable notice through your account.

Right now we focus on English, Maths, and Science at KS3 and GCSE level, since that's where most families need support and where we can keep quality high. Get in touch if you need something else, as we may be able to help or point you elsewhere.
